Landed cost calculator
Shopify no longer spreads freight and duty into Cost per item when you receive a purchase order. Enter the lines from your supplier invoice and the extra charges; each charge can be split by value, quantity or weight. Add any stock you already hold to get the blended cost to type into Shopify. Duty is usually assessed on value, so split it by value. Freight is billed on what ships, so weight (use the case weight divided by units per case) fits when you know it. "Blended cost" mixes the new delivery with stock you already hold, which is the single number Shopify's Cost per item field can hold. Keep a record of each delivery's cost if you need margin history.
